Christ at the center
The vows are not theater. They are made before the Lord who invented marriage and who holds it together. Every rite I write names Him plainly.

Christian Wedding Ministry

“What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Matthew 19:6
A word of welcome
I am Rev. Eric Gumkowski, a Christian minister in Plum, Pennsylvania. Couples come to me when they want their wedding to sound like the faith they actually hold — Scripture read, vows spoken without wink or hedge, and Christ named as Lord over the house they are about to keep.
I serve churches, barns, hillsides, and living rooms across Pittsburgh and the towns around it. If you want a minister who will tell the truth about marriage and still be glad for you, write me.
About the ministry
How I stand with you
01
The vows are not theater. They are made before the Lord who invented marriage and who holds it together. Every rite I write names Him plainly.
02
A contract protects the exit. A covenant binds two lives — a man and a woman — into one flesh, for better or worse, until death. That is the language I use, because it is the truth.
03
I do not read a stock script over strangers. We talk. I listen. Then I write a ceremony that sounds like your life and still sounds like Scripture.
The rites

The full rite: procession, Word, vows, rings, pronouncement, and blessing — in a church, a chapel, or a hall set apart for the day.

The same Christian rite, spoken under the open sky or in a western Pennsylvania barn — lanterns, hills, and a solemn vow.

A quiet ceremony for the two of you and a handful of witnesses. Short, unhurried, and complete.

For couples who want to say again, before God, what they promised years ago.

The path
01
Send an inquiry with your date, place, and a little of your story. If the date is open, I will answer promptly.
02
We talk — in person around Plum and Pittsburgh, or by call if you are coming in from farther off. I need to know you before I speak for you.
03
I draft the ceremony, send it to you, and we shape the readings, vows, and any family parts until it is yours.
04
I arrive early, meet the wedding party, conduct the rehearsal if you want one, and then I stand with you before God and your people.

Where I serve
Plum is home. Pittsburgh and the towns around it are the parish. I will come to the church that raised you, the barn on the family farm, or a quiet hillside at dusk.

Now receiving inquiries for the rest of 2026 and 2027.
