The rites

Ceremonies

Whether in a sanctuary or under the hills, the substance is the same: Scripture, vow, ring, and blessing.

01

Christian Wedding

This is the heart of the ministry. Scripture is read. Prayer is offered. You make vows that mean what they say. Family and friends stand as witnesses, not as an audience.

02

Outdoor & Barn

Western Pennsylvania is generous with beauty. I will come to the orchard, the farm, the ridge, or the family land, and hold the same gravity you would expect at the altar.

03

Intimate Elopement

Some covenants are better spoken small. An elopement with me is still a Christian marriage: Word, vow, ring, and blessing — without the production.

04

Vow Renewal

Anniversaries, recoveries, and long faithfulness deserve to be marked. I will write a renewal that honors the years you have already kept.

From the rite

Language I am not ashamed to speak

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God, and in the face of this company, to join this man and this woman in holy marriage — which is an honorable estate, instituted of God, and signifying the mystical union between Christ and His Church.

This covenant is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, discreetly, and in the fear of God.

I charge you both, as you stand in the presence of God, to remember that love is patient and kind; that it does not insist on its own way; that it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Honorarium

What it costs

Typical honoraria are $250–$400, according to travel, rehearsal, and the rite. A separate rehearsal is additional. If the cost would keep you from a Christian ceremony, say so — this ministry is not a luxury brand.
